A Collector’s Gamble

Stephan has made a living collecting debts for Solitaire, one of the most powerful underground organizations in the gambling world. He’s good at his job—calm, calculated, and not afraid to get his hands dirty when necessary.

But when he arrives at a nondescript house in Phoenix, the man he’s come to collect from is nothing like his usual marks. Jake, a former gambler who claims to have turned his life around, isn’t easily intimidated. He knows the game, and more importantly, he knows how to survive. The problem? He possesses the Four of Hearts—a card Solitaire desperately wants back.

Stephan is left with two choices: convince Jake to hand it over peacefully or take it by force. But before he can make his move, he realizes something terrifying—Jake is more prepared than he expected. Traps have been set, defenses are in place, and suddenly, the collector is the one at risk of being taken out of the game.

A Deadly Hand to Play

As the tension escalates, Stephan finds himself outmaneuvered in ways he never imagined. Jake is playing by a different set of rules, and every move Stephan makes could be his last. What starts as a simple retrieval mission quickly spirals into a fight for survival, with explosives, deception, and one critical question: Is Jake really as reformed as he claims, or is he playing his own long game?
