Stephan: The Proud Operative

Dark hair. Blue eyes. A frame hardened by training and shadowed by arrogance.

At six feet tall, Stephan cuts an imposing figure. He shields his pale skin from the desert sun with long sleeves and sharp tailoring—never sacrificing style for comfort. A Bentley in the driveway, a villa in Cabo, two pistols in a shoulder holster: Stephan’s life is the polished image of success, purchased at a steep price.

Personality & Motivation

Stephan lives for wealth, travel, and reputation—and his work in Solitaire is the cost of maintaining it. He believes every mission is a transaction, every risk justified by the reward.

  • Confidence & Arrogance: Stephan sees himself as above the average player. Low-level targets—“sixes”—barely register in his world, and delays or contradictions ignite his frustration.
  • Skill & Training: Trained in combat, quick to spot tells, and deadly with a gun, Stephan is dangerous. But whispers that he “still needs work” linger in the background—a truth he refuses to accept.
  • Ruthlessness: For Stephan, failure is unacceptable. He would risk his reputation—or someone else’s life—before returning empty-handed.

Character Arc

  • Recruitment: Brought into Solitaire by Nine of Spades, Stephan accepted the role quickly, despite being told he wasn’t ready. Ambition outweighed caution.
  • Mission 1 – Six of Diamonds: His first test. What should have been simple spiraled into chaos. Tasers, red hair, green eyes—and the realization that even “sixes” fight back. Stephan escaped tied ropes and retrieved the card, but not without scars to his pride.
  • Mission 2 – Four of Hearts: A humiliating failure. Sent to extract a card from Jake, a war veteran, Stephan underestimated his target. Explosives, tricks, and betrayal left him with only a bribe instead of victory. The card slipped away.
  • Current Status: Now, Stephan stands among powerful factions—Joseph, Cynthia, Burt, Alec—at Dr. Larry’s surgical facility. Jack Bardlow, Jr. proposes an alliance to gather the remaining Solitaire code cards. Whether Stephan can maintain control, or whether arrogance will undo him, remains to be seen.

In the Game of Solitaire

Stephan is more than a player—he’s a warning. Confidence without restraint, skill without humility, and ambition without limits make him a dangerous ally… or a deadly enemy.
